Held one Saturday a month from 8-11:30am. Main activities are removing invasive species, preparing the earth, planting native trees and creating natural barriers at the trail cuts. Tree planting will occur during Hawaii's rainy season (October - April). During the off season, ATA switches its focus to maintenance
No waiver form required
Meet us at the Kuli`ou`ou Ride Trail at the yellow gate at the end of Kāla'au Pl. Please consider car pooling and arriving 10-15min early. We will show you where to park your car. Once you are parked, please proceed to the table to sign in! ATA policy states that every minor (unaccompanied and accompanied) must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver prior to their arrival. Any volunteer participant that does not have a signed waiver may be asked to leave the event. Restoration activities might not be for everyone. We encourage you to listen to your body and only participate in activities you are comfortable with. There will be accessible opportunities at the base of the trail for those in need. We hope you will come join us, meet incredible people and if you haven’t been introduced to Kuli`ou`ou let us introduce you. Tree bathing, giving back to the earth and refreshments make for a wonderful way to start your day.
