Helping Hands Hawaii is in need in regular volunteers who are interested in WAREHOUSE type of volunteering. Volunteers will sort out items that are donated at our warehouse to determine if the items are able to be used by our individuals and families. Occasionally, volunteers will also help with donors who are in need of assistance with their items in their vehicles as well.

Requirements

• Complete volunteer application
• Background check
• Attend orientation and training
• Volunteers younger than 18 must have adult supervision
• Office volunteers must provide resume/CV
• Volunteers must be able to lift 20lbs+ and be detail oriented, reliable, and communicates well. Orientation and training is required for volunteers prior to any volunteering date.

Expectations 

• Absence: Minimum of 24-hour notice to allow for schedule/task readjustment for the day.
• Volunteering: Must commit 2+ hours per shift. To be considered a regular, volunteers must commit to 4 hours a week for two months or longer.
• Clothing: Casual clothing is acceptable but should be tasteful and family friendly. Wear close toed tennis shoes. Shorts must be just above or at the knee.
