Kunia Country Farms Educational Outreach is a non-profit 501(c)(3) formed to educate the community about the benefits of aquaponic farming and the critical importance of sustainable agriculture. A major part of our mission is to provide farm tours, free of charge, to Hawaii's school-age children. The BEI Educational Learning Center will be the platform, literally, for hosting educational tours of Kunia Country Farms. The 1,500 square foot deck situated above the fish tanks will offer a stunning view of downtown Honolulu. Zero Impact Farming is a concept we developed to describe farming with minimal use of resources, and minimal impact on the environment. This encompasses water and electricity use, soil degradation, pollution and other environmental diseconomies, land efficiency, labor efficiency, and inputs consumed or destroyed in the production process. We strive to make our footprint as small as possible!
